Membership

ABWA Career Chapter maintains a very diverse membership, representing different companies as well as different professions and positions. Visitors are welcome at our meetings!

If you would like to attend, please contact the Hospitality Chair, Linda Deines, at 233-1750, or Membership Chair, Judy Thomas at 271-2492. If you are interested in becoming a member, we encourage you to attend a meeting as a visitor and talk to the membership chair.

Member benefits include networking with a wonderful group of women, informative meetings on topics relevant to us as businesswomen, and a support network of other businesswomen. ABWA National has several member benefits which include insurance, car rentals, and other group-rate benefits.

Career Chapter's annual fund-raiser luncheon is a Topeka tradition. Every year in March we honor a local Topeka woman who has made a positive impact on Topeka. The proceeds stay local - they go to fund scholarships to women attending Washburn University. All members are involved in this event, whether by selling tickets to the event or working on the committee.

Committee participation is a significant element of Career Chapter membership. That is the vehicle which helps us get to know each other and develop skills we may not have known we have. Come learn and grow with us in a safe, non-threatening environment!
