Dr. Dietrich has served as the superintendent for the Auburn-Washburn School District for the last 14 years, overseeing 1,000 employees. Her career in education has spanned over 40 years with 19 of those years as a superintendent.
Dr. Dietrich also is engaged in professional activities throughout the state. She currently serves on the Boards of the Jayhawk Council of Boy Scouts, Kansas Advisory Board for Juvenile Justice, Junior Achievement, AASA the School Superintendents Association Governing Board, United School Administrators, and is Past- President of the Kansas School Superintendent’s Association. She is the past Chair of the Board of Leadership Kansas, and has served on the Boards of the United Way of Greater Topeka Board, Family Service and Guidance Center, and the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Dietrich graduated from McPherson High School and received her B.S. in Elementary Education from Kansas State University in 1975. She has a Master’s Degree and a Ph.D. in Education Administration.
